December/ Stetsons Birthday

December is bringing lots of snow with it! Not sure if I love it, but the kids sure do!!

The dogs got out one night in the middle of a terrible snow storm. They got lost and were gone a couple of days. I thought they were either dead or someone took them. We finally got a call one night from some nice people. They were freezing cold and Kelty wasn't doing too well. No food or water for 2 days and being out in the cold really got to her. Cora was just fine because she has a lot more fur. We let Kelty stay inside for a bit to warm up! The kids loved it and she loved the attention. I'm tired of them running away though!

Stetson is turning one and I've been busy preparing the perfect party for him. We adore this boy and love everything about him. So glad we finally got a boy!

Well, after Stetson woke up from his nap he was super croupy. I thought, "Oh great he's getting sick." But I didn't think a whole lot about it. But as time went on he got worse, a lot worse. I called Josh a few hours later because Stetson was getting bad. He was barely breathing and starting to turn blue. I turned on the shower to hopefully open things up and it helped a little, but not much. Josh got some epi from work and we used it in his breathing treatment we had at home, but an hour later it came back worse. We called after hours for our pediatrician and they told us to take him to instacare. I was so bummed to call off his party!
We arrived to instacare and we waited an hr. Josh and I were upset, because at this point he was bad and was barely breathing. We went and got someone and they brought us back. As soon as the Dr came in he told us to leave and get to the emergency room as soon as possible. Holy moly. That's not what we expected. We went to the ER and they immediately started him on treatments and he wasn't getting better so they admitted him. It was an extremely long night and we were exhausted. I stayed at the hospital and Josh came home. They gave him treatments every hour and he screamed and hated it the whole time.
We were so happy to be going home and that Stetson was feeling a little better! We did his birthday that night as a family. It was super simple and he still didn't feel great, but it made me happy!!

There was a mom that brought this gift in to the hospital. she lost a baby 4 years ago and every year on his birthday she brings a toy in to give to one of the patients. Stetson was the lucky kid this year and it was on his birthday, so even more special. I was in tears!!

We are trying to fit in all that we can before Christmas comes. Too many things I want to do and not enough time. We had fun making some sugar cookies together. They were gluten free and actually turned out really good!

I'm doing a "12 gifts of Christmas" for Josh. His grand finale is a gift card for a new bow. I saved my money I've earned as a beach body coach to buy this. I'm so excited and can't wait to see his reaction!
