Family fun!

We started out the family fun with our nephew, Trenton's blessing. The next day we all ran our race together, then a couple days later we headed to Island park for a vacation. We stayed in a nice cabin and we had so much fun fishing & golfing (for the boys), swimming, playing some volleyball, going to Yellowstone, and enjoying some fresh air.

Playing some cards.
Enjoying the swimming pool.
In Yellowstone playing in a river while we had some lunch.

Me, Josh, Missy, and Bentley went on a little adventure and found some cool stuff. We stopped by this gorgeous lake and we talked to a ranger who told us about some cool hikes to go on. We found out that on this same trail someone had been killed by a bear a couple days earlier. The hike was absolutely gorgeous, but me and Missy were so scared of running into a bear. We sang the whole time and tried to be as loud as we could to scare them away. We saw some people coming back on the trail. They said they had seen a mama bear and 2 cubs a couple miles up the trail. It made us nervous, but Josh wanted to keep going. He had a gun for protection, but I still didn't feel safe. Luckily a thunder storm rolled in, so we decided to turn around. We were drenched when we got back to the car. I was just glad to be at the car and safe...

One of the many buffalo we saw. This one walked right in front of our car. It's amazing how big they really are.

Fishing off the dock. It was pretty cold and the fishing wasn't good.
Gramps, Bentley, and Brooke.

We managed to get a family pic, which can be hard with this many people.
Grams and Gramps with all the grand kids.
Island Park was absolutely gorgeous and we had so much fun spending time with the family.

On our way home from Island Park we met up with my family in Idaho for a Reunion with my moms side. We went to Downata Hot Springs. The water is so warm from the natural springs.

Enjoying some yummy breakfast.

We enjoyed going to the pool by our house one day.
Bentley loves to swim....

4th of July

We started out 4th at 4:30 in the morning as we woke up for our 1/2 marathon race in Salt Lake. This was the hardest half I have done. There were tons of hills and very steep too. I had some bad knee problems at mile 8, but I still got a pretty good time for having to slow down. This was Josh's first race and he did so awesome. I can't believe how fast he is. A lot of Josh's family did the race too, either the 1/2 or the 5k. It was really fun to do it all together and be there to support each other. It was funny to watch everyone the next couple of days, because we all had the hardest time doing stairs. We had to walk down sideways and backward because our quads were so sore.

I have loved training with Josh, even though he's a lot faster than me. He was very motivating and was always pushing me to go faster. I'm so excited I finally got him into running and he really likes it.

Stretching and realizing how wasted we feel.

Me and my sister in law, Missy.

My super cute sister in laws. I love them....
Everyone who raced.
Family that did the 1/2 marathon.
Bentley was there when we finished. She was our #1 supporter:)
After we rested a bit we went to my parents for a BBQ and my sister's birthday!
We did a few fireworks. Bentley loved the sparklers.
We ended our night at the Taylors to be with Josh's family. We did some fireworks and hung out. We were all pretty exhausted from the long day we had.
All of the cousins. Bentley wasn't very cooperative for these pictures, as you can tell.
Brooke and Bentley being our entertainment in between the fireworks.

On the farm

Some friends of ours have a bunch of property and have lots of animals. We love to go over there and watch all of them. We have some of our own chickens we keep there for fresh eggs and we recently bought a horse from them. Yep, we just keep getting more and more redneck over here:)
Watching the turkeys.
Petting the goats. These guys follow you around like a dog.
Watching all the chickens. Bentley loves to go in the coop and try and catch them.
Meet Delgado, our new horse. He is 2 yrs old and hasn't been trained at all, so Josh has been trying to break him. He's come a long way already. When we first got him he would run and run and not let anyone near him. Now Josh is able to catch him and pet him all over. Last night we even got a blanket on him. Next he'll be ready for a saddle. I'm sure we have awhile before we can ride him. We'll see if Josh gets bucked off first before i try.
Petting some of the other horses.
Bentley feeding the horses.
Josh and Bentley riding"Nobody," a really old horse. He is so calm. We went on a trail ride and I rode him. He's such a good horse for a beginner like me.
I think Bentley would be happy to do this all day. She thinks she's so big and wanted me to get away because, "she can do it by her self."

Summer fun!

We went swimming with Melissa and Jace. Bentley loves the water. She's a little too brave and just wants to be swimming all by her self.
She loved this tube, because she could just float around by her self.

Bentley and her cousin, Jace.
Bentley had a blast at the splash park with her cousins.

Josh getting sworn in by the Sandy Fire Department.
We got a bike trailer for Bentley. It's been lots of fun to go on rides all together.
