Colorado/Josh's b-day

Gabe and Melissa loving Bentley!!

Josh turned 26 on the 25th of April. I keep teasing him about how old he is now, even though I am only a couple years behind him. He got pretty spoiled this year! He got 3 parties, one with his mom and family, one with my family, and his sister made a yummy turkey dinner for him. It's so nice to have such great families. Thanks for being so good to Josh!

Bentley doesn't really like to be on her tummy, but the doctor told me to make her do it a couple times a day to get her stronger. It's hard to make her do it when she's screaming, but in this picture she happened to be doing really good.

She loves to suck on her fingers.

We went to Colorado this past week to Josh's mom's house. Josh did a bunch of things around the house that his mom had been wanting done. He cut down two big trees and this small one, he painted the whole basement, put up some crown in one of the rooms, and a few other things. It was nice to get away and to be with the Seely family for the week. We love them and we had so much fun hanging out with them.

Easter

Bentley sleeps so good in her crib. We put her down at 9:00 and she usually sleeps til about 5 or 6 in the morning. I love to go get her in the morning. She is so happy and gives the biggest smiles.

The Easter bunny came. I am totally late posting our Easter pictures, but I just haven't found the time to do it lately. I made Josh and Bentley go on a hunt to find their baskets. Josh got a bunch of candy, a shirt and tie. Bentley got a dress, a new binki and a toy that she lays under, which she absolutely loves. I got a hat and a shirt. That day we went to the Baldwin's for dinner and dessert. It was a great day...

I thought she looked adorable in her Easter dress and she even smiled for the picture.

Bentley is getting big so fast, I can't believe it. She is so much fun now that she's found her voice and is smiling. She got her first cold a couple weeks ago. She had an ear infection and a cough. It was so sad, and I didn't hardly sleep because I was so paranoid every time she'd cough. Josh always tells me I worry way too much, but I can't help it.

2 Months/Blessing

We Blessed Bentley this past Sunday. Josh did such a good job blessing her. We had a luncheon at our house afterward. Thanks to all our family and friends for coming to support us and for all their help.

This is Josh's family on his mom's side, 4 generations and me.

This is Josh's mom, MaryJane. She made Bentley's blessing dress, it was so pretty, she did an awesome job. She is so talented an we appreciate her so much for making the dress.

These are my parents, they love Bentley so much. She's their first grandchild and they're having so much fun.

This is us right before we left. Bentley was not too happy and I was so worried she was going to cry the whole time, but she slept through the blessing and pretty much the rest of the day.

Aren't they so cute? Josh loves to have Bentley sleep on him.

2 months old!!!!
We went to her 2 month doctor appointment. She weighs 11lbs 8oz now, she's gained 4 lbs since she was born. She had to get her first shots. She was smiling at the nurses and just so happy, then they gave her the shots and she was screaming. It was so sad, I've never seen her cry like that before. I got all teary eyed, it just broke my heart to see her in pain.

Bentley's photos

We had a photographer come to our home and take Bentley's pictures. It was kind of nice doing it at our house. She was 3 weeks old when we got these done, it was really fun.

This picture was supposed to be done with a tree branch, but our photographer forgot it, so Josh told her he had something that would work perfect. He went downstairs and came back up with one of his elk antlers and a huge smile on his face. I think it actually turned out pretty good. Josh thinks Bentley's going to be his little huntin buddy, He loves this picture.

This picture has a funny story. First of all, she hated the tutus and she pooped all over me, the tutu and the blanket. It was a huge mess, I guess that's what I get for having her diaper off....

I like this pic of Josh holding her, even though she's crying. Josh is so cute with her.

She was pretty mad for most of these pictures, I guess she doesn't like her picture taken when she's naked.

She's so tiny in that big crib.

Bentley is 5 weeks old

Today Bentley is 5 weeks old. I cannot believe how fast that went by. I start back to work next week. I am kind of sad to leave her, even though I will only be working two days a week, it's still probably going to be hard to be away from her all day. My mom is going to watch her for us, so at least we don't have to worry about taking her to some random daycare! She is a good baby and we love her so much! She finally figured out the breastfeeding thing after 4 weeks of trying, so no more pumping every 2 hours for me, yeah!!! Last night we decided to put her in her crib in her own room. We put her down at 9 and figured she'd cry for awhile, but she was just in there cooing away and put her self to sleep. I had to keep going in and checking on her to make sure she was okay. She usually wakes up a couple times in the night, which is way better than what it used to be.

She only likes this huge binki from the hospital. I want her to take the cute bling ones I have, but she just likes this one I guess...

So me and my sister, Melissa decided to play dress up with Bentley and take some pictures. She wasn't too happy with us and she wanted that tutu off!
Bentley on Valentines Day. We didn't really do anything special that day. We just hung out and watched a movie!

Bentley loves her bathtime as long as you keep her warm. I am so glad she is so good when we give her a bath, it makes it so much easier.

(Josh's mom)
Our families have been so sweet to help us out the past couple weeks. My mom stayed with us for a few days after we got home from the hospital and Josh's mom came from Colorado to help us for about a week. It was so nice to have them help out with meals and to take turns at night with the baby. We love and appreciate them so much...

(My mom after we gave Bentley her first sponge bath.)

My sister Cami was so sweet and stayed one night to help us with the baby.

My sister Melissa has come out to my house a couple times to help with Bentley while I took a nap, cleaned my house and got ready. It was s nice, it's amazing how much longer everything takes with a baby. She says she will babysit whenever I need her to. I hope that doesn't wear off....

We went last week for Bentley's 2 week dr appointment. She gained a pound since we left the hospital and grew an inch. She was 6lbs 13 in when we left and was 7lbs 13 at the Dr's. They said she's in the 30 percentile. I m not exactly sure what that means, they said she's pretty petite, but perfectly healthy. I really hated watching them prick her little foot. It made me sad to see her in pain. I will have a hard time when it's time for shots. She's doing really good, she loves to take baths and she's sleeping pretty good. She usually only wakes up twice in the night to eat. We sure love her!

Pics of Bentley

I had to put this picture on here! I think it's adorable. My dad loves babies, my family all fights over who gets to hold Bentley next especially my sister Melissa, it's really cute!

She loves to have her hands up by her face.

She is so good when we put her on her changing pad to change her diaper. She just looks all around the room and is so happy.
