Christmas 2011

A couple days before Christmas we had our Baldwin Christmas party. We had dinner, the kids did a cute Nativity, and opened presents.

On Christmas Eve Josh had to work at the station, so me and Bentley stayed at my parents house that night! First we went to visit Josh at work and take him some treats, then went to my parents and had some good food and fun!

Josh got me a vitamix blends, which I absolutely love. I have used it everyday, since we've been home. I have had so much fun with it. I also got some clothes and lots of other fun things. I love Christmas and being with family. Bentley was so fun this year and couldn't wait for santa to come.

Christmas day, after opening presents, we drove to Colorado for some more family fun. They had quite a lot of snow there, so that was really fun. We loved spending time with family. We played games, went to a movie, shopped, went sledding, and hung out.

We got the kids pillow pets. They were pretty excited, carrying them around everywhere.

We went to the High school sledding one day. This was Bentley's first time sledding. She had so much fun.

Another day we went up the canyon and found a big hill. It was pretty fun and a little scary at first. Bentley liked going down on her bum better than on the sled.

December fun

My nieces and nephew came over and we made some yummy sugar cookies. The kids were so messy, but they had so much fun .....

This month we got to go to Bentley's Christmas recital. We weren't sure if she would actually dance at all, since she just stood there scared out of her mind at the rehearsal, but she totally surprised us and did her routine full on. She was so cute, just smiling and having fun! Josh and I were so proud of her watching her up on that big stage in front of lots of people.

Cute Bentley! Almost three!

Bentley loved holding the ducks that daddy shot after his hunting trip! They had a very successful hunt, getting lots of ducks, some pheasants, and a couple geese!

One of Josh's new hobby's is trapping pigeons. He traps them and uses them to train his hunting dog! It's actually pretty fun to watch the dog find and point the birds! Bentley thinks they are her pets. Of course, they stay outside:)

We made these fun turkeys this year for Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving at my grandparents house! It was a beautiful day and we had so much fun.

October/ Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year! We started out by having some homemade chili and some witch broom breadsticks. The weather was so perfect....

Bentley is very into anything princess right now. I let her choose her costume at the store and she knew exactly what she wanted to be... Cinderella.

We went trick or treating with some of Bentley's best buds, Zeke and Ezra!

They had the time of their life running from house to house to get more candy. They kept saying, "this is so much fun!!"

While trick or treating we saw another little girl dressed up as cinderella and Bentley ran to me crying. I asked her what was wrong and she said,"Mom, I am Cinderella. I don't want anymore cinderella's." Me and Josh were laughing so hard and had to explain to her that other little girls like princesses too!

We went to the zoo this month. Bentley had never been. It was so fun walking around seeing all the animals. Bentley loved it.

We recently started Bentley in dance! She is so shy and the first few times have been hard, because I have to pry her off my leg to even get her to go into class. But she is starting to feel comfortable and she's having fun. I think she looks adorable in her dance outfit....

Muzzleloader Hunt - (9/27/11-10/02/11)

Here's Josh in our lovely campsite. We were back in some pines. It was just the perfect spot. The date on these pics are obviously wrong. I'm not sure what happened. And sorry, but this is a really long post. I print my blog every year, so I wanted to write all the details so we don't forget. I really don't expect anyone to read it all.....

We left Bentley with my parents on a Tuesday and left to the mountains for the muzzleloader deer hunt. We both had tags, but Josh wanted me to get one first. He's real picky and will only shoot a wall hanger...

The first couple days we rode the motorcycle up a very rugged trail. The trail was barely wide enough for our motorcycle. It was kind of scary. We had a couple crashes with only minor bumps and bruises. We saw about 5 bucks that day, but only small ones, so we decided to try somewhere else the next day.

Using the spotting scope to find the deer we were going to go after. We found some nice bucks, but they were way up high almost in the cliffs with the mountain goats. We were trying to decide the best way to get to them. It was so hot and so the deer were way high.

We went up Timp on the trail and hoped to come over the top down on them. We got up at

3 a.m. and started hiking at 4 a.m. It was 7 miles up to the top.

We were almost to the top here. It was absolutely gorgeous up there. I had never hiked Timp before.

Unfortunately we couldn't get to the deer this way, because of how steep and rocky it was. I told Josh there was absolutely no way I was going down there. While we were up there we enjoyed the view and watching about 30 mountain goats all over the cliffs. I hadn't ever been that close to these. They're pretty amazing animals.

We hiked back down the trail, another 7 miles to our truck. We were exhausted from hiking all day and getting up so early. We went back to camp had some tinfoil dinners and went to bed. The next morning we woke up at 3 a.m. again to hike up the front side of the mountain this time. We started hiking in the dark with our head lamps and packs full of water and food and everything else. There was no trail, so we were straight bush whacking through brush past our waists. We stopped for a bit to watch the deer we were going for in the scope, so we knew where we were going. While we were sitting there we heard something to the left of us and just thought it was a deer. We looked up on the hill and saw something black. I thought it was a moose. We looked at it through our binoculars and realized it was a black bear. I think he heard us, because he started running down the mountain and in like 5 seconds was right in front of us(about 80 yards). I was freaking out and wanted to go back down. Josh had to keep reassuring me that bears are terrified of us and that we were so lucky to have seen him. As we started hiking again I was still pretty scared that the bear would come get us! I said a little prayer that we would be safe and I started feeling a little better.

We got to the top a little ways from where we were headed and we jumped up 4 bucks out of their beds. First 3 small ones jumped up and Josh told me not to shoot and then a bigger one stepped out. Josh told me to use his shoulder as a rest for the gun and I shot the buck. We were really excited. This wasn't the buck we were going for, but he was almost a twin with the other one.

I got him. Now for the real work of cutting up the meat. The deer landed right by a beehive, so we were getting swarmed and Josh got stung right on the forehead. Josh grabbed the deer and pulled it farther down the mountain to get away from the bees.

We used the tripod to take a pic of ourselves. It turned out pretty good.

Since we were so high there was no way we were going to drag this deer down the mountain, so Josh cut up the meat we wanted and we put it in bags in his pack and then put the head on his pack. He had well over 80 lbs of meat on his back plus the head. He had to sit down and put his pack on, because he couldn't even lift it that high. I had to carry all the stuff that was in his pack plus all my stuff, so mine was heavy too, definitely not like his, but for me it was way heavy.

We started hiking back down the steep mountain. It was so hard, especially carrying all that weight. Our feet and legs were hammered by the time we got back. We were happy that we got my deer in the afternoon so we were down before it was dark. And so that we didn't run into that bear again:) We got back to the truck and it started pouring rain( talk about perfect timing.)

I just had to take a pic of the mountain we just came down. We were just about to the top up in the cliffs and all over the mountain side! Doesn't look as bad from down here!

Josh said he had way more fun helping me with my deer than getting his own. He still has the rifle hunt and the extended archery, so if he finds a "monster buck" he might get one too. I am so glad to have a husband who is patient enough to take his wife out on the hunt. We had so much fun being together. We saw so many animals this trip, which we love. We saw lots of deer, elk, many mountain goats, a bear, a couple moose, and some turkeys.

We started a fire when we got back and had some well deserved dinner. We hiked so much this week. When we came back Josh weighed himself and he lost 5 lbs(he was so mad.) So I weighed myself too and I had lost 8 lbs. (We sure burned a lot of calories this weekend.)

Sorry if this grosses any of you out, but I wanted to remember all the meat Josh had in his pack. When we got home we cleaned up all the meat and had jerky made out of it, because neither of us care for deer meat too much. We now have a freezer full of yummy jerky.

Labor day

We had a really fun Labor day and weekend. My pictures are a bit out of order, but oh well. On Monday we enjoyed relaxing a bit and then we went out to our horse and played for awhile. We love to go there.

We enjoyed going up to my parents property for the weekend. We started by going to swiss days(just the girls) and then headed up to the property for some fun camping. We enjoyed going to the lake, mountain biking, jumping on the tramp, relaxing, riding 4 wheelers, and much more...

My parents bought a tramp for their property. We all had so much fun, although I think me and my sisters enjoyed it the most doing all our tricks from childhood.

Summer

one of Bentley's favorite things to do is to go outside and play with the dog. She mauls the dog and the dog does the same to her!

Before my sister left for college she had a sleepover with me and Bentley while Josh was gone. We had fun going on a bike ride, doing insanity workouts, watching movies, and painting toes. We're going to miss her lots. It will just be weird to not see her as much!!

We went swimming with my friend Melinda and her daughter, Brooklyn. The girls had so much fun together....

We celebrated my birthday! I can't believe how old I am getting.... My mom made my favorite cake; strawberry shortcake.

We got to go boating with some friends one Saturday. We hadn't been for such a long time, but we both got up on the wakeboard and had so much fun!

We started out the family fun with our nephew, Trenton's blessing. The next day we all ran our race together, then a couple days later we headed to Island park for a vacation. We stayed in a nice cabin and we had so much fun fishing & golfing (for the boys), swimming, playing some volleyball, going to Yellowstone, and enjoying some fresh air.

Me, Josh, Missy, and Bentley went on a little adventure and found some cool stuff. We stopped by this gorgeous lake and we talked to a ranger who told us about some cool hikes to go on. We found out that on this same trail someone had been killed by a bear a couple days earlier. The hike was absolutely gorgeous, but me and Missy were so scared of running into a bear. We sang the whole time and tried to be as loud as we could to scare them away. We saw some people coming back on the trail. They said they had seen a mama bear and 2 cubs a couple miles up the trail. It made us nervous, but Josh wanted to keep going. He had a gun for protection, but I still didn't feel safe. Luckily a thunder storm rolled in, so we decided to turn around. We were drenched when we got back to the car. I was just glad to be at the car and safe...

4th of July

We started out 4th at 4:30 in the morning as we woke up for our 1/2 marathon race in Salt Lake. This was the hardest half I have done. There were tons of hills and very steep too. I had some bad knee problems at mile 8, but I still got a pretty good time for having to slow down. This was Josh's first race and he did so awesome. I can't believe how fast he is. A lot of Josh's family did the race too, either the 1/2 or the 5k. It was really fun to do it all together and be there to support each other. It was funny to watch everyone the next couple of days, because we all had the hardest time doing stairs. We had to walk down sideways and backward because our quads were so sore.

I have loved training with Josh, even though he's a lot faster than me. He was very motivating and was always pushing me to go faster. I'm so excited I finally got him into running and he really likes it.

Some friends of ours have a bunch of property and have lots of animals. We love to go over there and watch all of them. We have some of our own chickens we keep there for fresh eggs and we recently bought a horse from them. Yep, we just keep getting more and more redneck over here:)

Meet Delgado, our new horse. He is 2 yrs old and hasn't been trained at all, so Josh has been trying to break him. He's come a long way already. When we first got him he would run and run and not let anyone near him. Now Josh is able to catch him and pet him all over. Last night we even got a blanket on him. Next he'll be ready for a saddle. I'm sure we have awhile before we can ride him. We'll see if Josh gets bucked off first before i try.

Colorado

We recently went to Colorado to see my sister in law graduate from High school. It was so much fun to be there with most of Josh's family.

For Missy's graduation present I gave her 2 bins full of food and personal hygiene stuff for her to take to college. I was able to get all this stuff practically free from my couponing. I was happy to share some of my storage with her.

Mother's Day weekend

We got to go spend some time with the Baldwin family over Mother's Day up at their property. We had lots of fun riding motorcycles, 4-wheeling, riding the go cart, shooting guns, hanging out by the fire, and eating good food. The weather was beautiful and we were glad to spend time with my mom for Mother's Day.

Josh and Bentley gave me some new running clothes and the Insanity workout videos, which I had been wanting for awhile.

5 Year Anniversary

We celebrated our 5th Anniversary on April 28th. My parents took Bentley for the weekend and Josh picked me up from work and surprised me with dinner and a night at the zermatt hotel in Midway. We had so much fun. It was so nice to relax and enjoy each other without Bentley. We had a yummy breakfast that morning and we were going to golf that morning, but had to get a rain check since it was snowing. I love being married to my best friend and to a guy that does so much for me. He's the BEST!

She loves shoes and was running around outside after church with my heels. Such a funny girl.

We had a nice Easter which included: going to church, naps, Easter egg hunts, and a yummy ham dinner.

Bentley had to get tubes put in her ears not too long ago. She has had so many ear infections that the Dr's and us decided to get them done to prevent any more from happening. She did really good other than when they took her from us. She was probably wondering what in the world was going on and why these strange people were taking her away.

Before her surgery the child specialist came in and played some toys with her and let her color a little hospital dolly. I think this helped her to be calm and not afraid.

The surgery was really fast and she did really good coming out of the anesthesia. They told us most kids scream when coming off of it, because they don't know how to handle it, but when they brought her to us she was pretty happy and didn't cry. The nurses said this was pretty uncommon for a kid to come out of it this good. She's such a sweet little girl.

Josh's Birthday/Graduation

Well Josh has graduated from Paramedic school. I can't begin to say how proud of him I am. It has been a hard year not getting to see him much and pretty much feeling like a single mom. We went some weeks without seeing each other at all, but it has all been worth it. Josh has probably studied harder now than any other time in his life and learned so much. The first half of school was spent in a classroom for 9 hours a day 5 days a week which included lots of studying, lots of tests, and lots of stress. The second half of his schooling was spent doing clinicals where they were either at the hospital(in the E.R., labor and delivery, O.R.), and at various Fire Departments. They did 12 hour shifts at the hospitals and 24 or 48 hour shifts at the fire department. Sometimes he would go straight from the hospital to do a 48 hour shift at the Fire Department. It was crazy to say the least, but he did it and I can't believe how much he knows now. His Graduation was really nice, just short and sweet.

Josh and one of his friends and fellow classmate. They were together so much that a lot of the guys formed such a bond that I am sure will last a long time. Many late nights and hours studying and practicing skills together.

This was a cake I made for Josh. This was my second attempt at making a fondant cake and although it's not perfect I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Bentley gouged out a big chunk in the front, so I decided to make it look like a wound and cover it with a fondant band aid and it actually looked pretty good, thankfully.

The helmet was yellow cake with chocolate chip frosting.

We had a little party for Josh with friends and family. We also celebrated Josh's Birthday, since it was just a few days later.

Josh loved his cake and was very impressed with how it turned out. He took the leftovers to the Fire Station afterward and they were amazed that it was actually a cake. That made me feel pretty good!!

Weekend Get Away

Me and Bentley got to take a little trip to stay with one of my very best friends for the weekend. She has a little girl about the same age as Bentley. We had so much fun playing in the warm weather and just hanging out!

We took the girls to a fun park and then came home and played outside!

The day we got there was Brooklyn's birthday, so we got to have a little party with them. Here the girls are enjoying some cake, or maybe just some frosting:)

Ogden Temple

We got to go do a session in the Ogden temple with some of my family. My grandparents have worked in the temple a long time and this was one of the last times they were going to serve in the temple since they will be rebuilding it. A lot of the family got to be there. It was neat to do a session with my grandparents in there officiating and to see all the family there. We had a nice dinner afterwards.

Valentine's Day

Bentley had her own few cookies that were hers to decorate. She loved it.

The poor girl has been so sick with RSV, sinus infection, and double ear infection and to top it all off she fell and hit her head on a stool we have in the kitchen and cut her head. We couldn't decide if we should take her in to get stitches since it would've only needed 2 or 3 stitches. She hit it on the corner of the bench, so there was a perfect hole in the back of her head. We watched it for a bit and decided not to go and it actually scabbed over pretty good. And now she is feeling better and getting over being sick. I am just ready for winter and all this sickness to be over....

Bentley's 2nd Birthday

Bentley turned 2! I made this cake for her Birthday. It was my first attempt at making a fondant cake. It was so much fun and it turned out pretty good. Everything was edible except the tinkerbell and pearls. I definitely learned a lot for the next cake I do.

COLORADO

Me and Bentley flew to Colorado to see Josh's family. This was Bentley's first time flying and she did really good.

Bentley on her first airplane. When we got off she kept saying, "I go airplane, mom." She didn't realize we were on the plane the whole time. It was a short flight and Bentley was able to be entertained by movies and snacks.

Bentley wouldn't go potty in the big toilet since she's used to her little one, so grams went out and bought one so that she would feel comfortable going potty. That was so sweet of her to do that and Bentley felt so special and was able to feel comfortable again.

Bent's 1st haircut & Yellowstone

Bentley still doesn't have much hair, but she had a major mullet going on so I had to trim it up. It was hard to cut off the long hair, but it looks so much better now!

For Christmas Josh's dad and stepmom gave us a trip to Yellowstone over New Years. We drove down New Year's Eve and stayed for a couple days! This is a picture of us getting our gear!

Here we are all bundled up on our ride! With the windchill it was -35 degrees. I have never felt anything that cold before. My toes were absolutely frozen and so we stopped at one of the warming huts and got some toe warmers for my boots and put on another layer. I felt much better after that! We rode for about 8 hours and saw all the different sites. We had lots of fun.

We made some sugar cookies before Christmas! I let Bentley decorate a few and eat them! She mostly eats the frosting!

For Christmas Eve I worked for a half day and then we went over to my parents house! We ate some yummy turkey and lots of good appetizers.

This year we had Thanksgiving with my family this year! We ate about 1:00 and had such good food.

My aunt got married on Thanksgiving night and then we had pie with her family! We are so happy for her and wish her the best.

Me, my mom, and sisters decided to go out and do some Black Friday shopping on Thanksgiving night. We tried toys r us, but the lines were ridiculously long, so we said, "forget that." Next we went and waited in line for the Modbe clothing sale. We were one of the first people in line, so we got to wait inside til the sale started! We got some great deals there and had fun deciding on what to buy! Then we to headed to Walmart. It was way crowded, but we were able to get everything we wanted and even price matched some of the things we wanted from Toys R Us. My mom was a good sport for going with us. We had lots of fun being together and getting all the "deals!"

We had a fun halloween party on the Ludwig side. We ate food, played games, carved pumpkins, made crafts, and had yummy dessert.

This is the "after" picture of the railing and wall me and Josh did. Josh cut out the wall and we had to sheetrock, texture and glaze the wall. Then Josh built the post and the railing. Then we stained and glazed it. I am so happy with it and love how it opened up our living room area!!

For family night we decided to make caramel apples. Bentley had fun dipping the apples.

Bentley started falling out of her crib and after a few times of that we decided to put her crib into a toddler bed before she broke an arm or something else.

At first she was really excited about her big girl bed.

But when it was really time to go to bed she freaked out and would not stay in her bed. For about 4 nights she cried until she fell asleep on her floor right by the door. We would have to push the door open and put her into bed. Then she would come in our room and we'd have to take her back and do it all over again. This was such a hard week and I just wanted to give up and put it back to a crib. Because before this was was such a good sleeper and I never heard a peep from her. Well she's starting to get used to it and realizing it's not so bad. I am glad we stuck with it til she got used to it, even though it was so hard!

Me and Bentley got to go watch one of my brother's baseball games. His team has won all but one of their games. Bryce is an awesome player in the field and batting. I haven't been to one of his games in awhile and I was amazed at how good he is. He's the star of his team and he's got a really good team.

This is our cute dog, Lady who recently died! Josh takes the dogs out in the hills and they run while following Josh is the jeep. Josh took them out one night after school and they ran a couple miles. Somehow Lady ran under the jeep and Josh ran her over. He got out and she ran over to him and then died his his arms. We have had a really hard time with this, especially Josh. He absolutely loves his dogs.

Lady was such a sweet dog. To Josh she was the perfect dog. He spent a lot of time training her. She was an amazing hunter; she would hold on point forever when she found a bird. She was also an excellent swimmer; she would swim all over the lake if we let her. She was very obedient and minded very well. She was also so good with kids. She loved Bentley and all the neighbor kids. She will definitely be missed....

Me and Josh went on the Muzzleloader deer hunt the end of September. We had a lot of fun together. We didn't see anything we could shoot. We did lots and lots of hiking. I think I got my workout for the month.

We started hiking at 5:30 and it took us about 2 hrs straight up to get to the top before sunrise. It was so beautiful up there.

We tried to find shade during the day! It was so miserably hot and that's why we didn't see many animals. They bed down when it gets too warm and stay there til the sun goes down.

Here we are at the top! Josh was making fun of my diamond studded sunglasses the whole time and said I was scaring all the deer away! :)

Labor Day

We went camping at my parents property over Labor day weekend. The girls and Jace got up early on Saturday and went to Swiss Days in Midway! We went early in the morning to try and miss the crowds, but it was still pretty crowded! I got a couple of fun things! I mostly love to look and get fun ideas... Josh started Paramedic school a few weeks ago! It's hard and there's lots of studying, but he's also really enjoying it! He has to practice doing IV's on people and is being tested on it soon. His step-dad was nice enough to let him practice on him. He recently was on a ride along with a department and did and IV on a live patient on a call they went on. He said it went really good and he felt great about it. He keeps wanting to practice on me, but I just hate IV's. So maybe if I get brave enough I will let him try!

Bentley and her grandma, Josh's mom. They were here from Colorado for a few days and we got to see them for a bit! We love when they come to visit.

I thought I would brag about Josh a little bit since he never reads our blog anyway! This was a really nice house he recently worked on! He did all the wood work in the whole house! He does such a good job and it's fun for me to go see the work he's done! The home owners loved Josh and all the work he's done!

Salt Lake county fair

We recently went to the Salt Lake County fair with Josh's sister and her family! Bentley loved all the animals!
We let her go on a pony ride all by her self. She loved it and was really mad when we took her off!

There was a little petting zoo with ponies, goats, and bunnies. Bentley wasn't sure about them at first, but once she got over it she loved petting all the animals and feeding them!

Provo 1/2, camping and more

Happy 25 to me!!!

I had a really good birthday! My poor sister and brother in law had their basement flood in one of the really bad storms. Most of their basement is ruined, but we are just happy no one was hurt. I was over there for a bit on my birthday, which I was so glad to be there and help. Then I went to lunch with a few friends and then went to dinner and cake at my parents. My sweet mom made me one of my favorite meals and strawberry shortcake after her long day of doing daycare! Thanks so much mom!!
Bentley thought it was her birthday and so she blew out my candles for me!!! I got some new running attire, decorations, magic bullet(which I absolutely love), clothes, I tunes gift cards, and lots of other fun stuff. Thanks everyone for all your love on my birthday!!!

I recently ran in the Provo canyon half marathon. It was so much fun. It was a beautiful run down the canyon and nice and cool! I felt great until about mile 12 when my knees started hurting. I am very glad I did it and I'm happy with my time, especially since I didn't get to train as hard as I wanted to! I got really sick like 2 weeks before, so I think that hurt my time a bit! My time was 2hr 10min. Next year I would really like to do it in 2 hours. Josh took this picture of me when I was about to cross the finish line. It's kind of hard to see me!

I think I will do this race again, so if anyone wants to do it next year let me know!!!
I can't believe I posted this pic. I look horrible, but oh well. My parents were so nice and took Bentley camping with them over the weekend. It was so nice to not have to worry about her and to be able to relax after my race.

We went camping to potter's pond with some friends. We had lots of fun sitting by the fire, fishing, and just relaxing in the mountains.

July 4th/ Summer

These pics are out of order, but oh well. We went to Josh's grandparents house in Logan on the 4th. We had lots of fun eating food, watching fireworks, hanging out and playing!

Before our soccer game all the family participated on a two teamed bike/ run relay! You had to go 1.2 mi. and then switch your partner for running or the bike. We ended up each doing 7.2 mi. running and biking. It was lots of fun and very hard! Josh hates to run, but he did really good!

On Saturday the 3rd we spent the day with my family. We had dinner, celebrated my sister's birthday and then had fireworks.

Since my sister's birthday is on the 4th of July my mom always puts sparklers on her cake. It's so fun! She usually has some type of flag cake too, but my mom decided not to this year.

We recently went with one of my good friends and her daughter, Brooklyn to the Thanksgiving Point farm. We hadn't been there before and Bentley had so much fun!

The Taylor's, (Josh's oldest sister) blessed their cute baby this past Sunday. Justin gave a beautiful blessing and then we had some really good food at their house! Jessica had the house decorated so cute! I love being around family!

This picture is Josh's 2 sisters at Francie's (Josh's other sister) wedding. It was at the Joseph Smith Memorial building. It was such a nice night!

We left Bentley at home and really enjoyed not having to worry about her there!

My sister had her baby! They named him Jace and he weighed 7 lbs. She had to be induced, because her blood pressure kept being way high! He's about 2 1/2 wks early and very healthy, which we are so glad!

I had a break at work, so I had to run over to the hospital so I could see/ hold him! He's adorable...

I had fun doing a shower for one of my friends who is having a girl! My mom gave me a chocolate fountain like 3 years ago and this was the first time I used it! It was so much fun and so easy. Now I am going to have to use it more.

We recently went to Colorado to visit family and be there for Josh's sister, Natalie's high school graduation. We had lots of fun and were busy the whole time! We love being with family and we were sad to go home!

Bentley adores her cousin, Brooke. They had so much fun playing together! I think they look like they could be sisters.

Bentley has been doing a little music class for a few months! She has loved it and has learned so much! She loves music and is always trying to sing along with the songs.

This is Josh's new favorite thing.... A salt water fish tank! We bough this from my parents a couple weeks ago. Josh has been wanting one for so so long! Bentley loves to watch the fish swim.

My amazing husband surprised me for our Anniversary and took me to Salt Lake. We went to the Blue Iguana to eat. It was the best Mexican food I've had in a long time! After dinner we drove around a bit and then he pulled into the Anniversary Inn! I was so excited and have been wanting to go there for a while! We stayed in the Enchanted Forest and we felt so pampered with breakfast in bed, free movies, cheescake, and sparkling cider! We had such a fun night together! I am so glad to be married to such an awesome guy!

On another note Josh has decided to go back to school! We recently found out that he was accepted into the paramedic program. We are so excited and feel so blessed that he was able to get in! He starts in August and will be in school about a year! It will be hard, but way worth it...

Easter & other stuff

We had a really good Easter this year! First we started by sleeping in and then had a good breakfast, helped Bentley with her Easter egg hunt, and then watched conference! Bentley had so much fun finding all the eggs! And she loved that there were treats inside the eggs!

Bentley found her Easter Basket and clothes in the Bathtub! She was excited to find all her stuff!

We had some of Josh's family over for Easter dinner and dessert! We had a great time and had such good food!

This is our new neice, Aspen Jane. She weighed 7 lbs 11oz. We are so excited to watch her grow!

We got to go to the hospital after Aspen was born! I love holding newborn babies, they are just so precious.

We got rid of our trailer and so we decided to buy a tent! It will be a lot different camping in a tent, but I am sure it will be lots of fun! We set it up in the family room to see what it looked like! Bentley loved being inside and kept laying down in it!

We haven't had a whole lot going on this month, just busy with life! We have really enjoyed the few days of nice weather we have had this month and we can't wait for more..

So, I am the 2nd conselor in the Relief Society and I'm over all the enrichment relief society activities. For our RS birthday party this year I decided to do it themed around purses and "purse"onalities and how we are each unique. It turned out so cute. The colors were pink and black and we decorated all the tables with cute purses and gift bags, and balloons. Everyone brought their purses and we played a few games and we did a "purse"onality fashion show, which was so cute and fun, then had a yummy dinner and cake!
This was a fun thing we did that same night! All the presidency brought their purses and had to take everything out and everyone had to guess whose purse it was! Mine is the black and white giraffe print and I had by far the least amount of stuff in mine!

This is our RS secretary. She made this amazing purse cake for the party! I was so sad to cut into it, because it was so cute! She just taught herself how to do this on you tube.

Bentley is so much fun these days! She loves to help me with anything I am doing. She loves to walk around with my purses and any jewelry, such a girly girl!

She has loved to be outside and cries when we have to go in! She has fallen two days in a row and gashed her head and bruised her face! She loves to play with the rocks and dig in the dirt! I can't wait for summer, she's going to be so much fun!

For Valentines Day we went to church and then came home and made cafe rio pork salads. This is Josh's favorite, so I decided to make it for him. For dessert we had homeade sugar cookies, which are my favorite. Hope you all had a good day.

My parents watched Bentley over night so me and Josh could go on a date! They saved this box for her from a new treadmill they got. She thought that was the greatest thing ever. We came and picked Bentley up and watched the super bowl, and of course had really good food.
